My go-to breakfast is an egg scramble, with veggies and ham.
Easy to make and fairly healthy.
But frustrating when it's always sticking to the pan!
For years, I had a combination of random pots and pans.
They professed to be non-stick, but my eggs used to stick to those things like nobody's business.
It was always annoying when I would make breakfast and have to scrub those pans so hard to get them clean afterwards.
Every time I would be standing at the sink cleaning them, I'd tell myself that I was going to buy a new set.
One that delivered on its non-stick promise.
So I finally splurged and bought one.
And they are fantastic!
Nothing sticks to them. And my food is cooked so much more evenly.
It makes my mornings less stressful and breakfast more enjoyable.
The little things really do make a big difference!
It's a lot like the phases we go through in life.
When we are young, we let so much stick to us. We carry the burdens from our childhood and worry so much about what other people think.
It clouds our brains and our hearts with gunk that has to be scrubbed away.
Like those old pans, we spend way too much time scrubbing and trying to see clearly, feeling annoyed at the extra work they cause us.
But as we get older, stuff starts to stick less.
I guess you could say, we build up a nonstick coating of our own.
Our mindset shifts as we realize what is really important in life.
We finally stop letting the gunk have so much power over us.
We set more boundaries and let the little things go.
Life becomes so much more peaceful and stuff slides right off of us and onto the plate, without so much effort.
It's a beautiful thing.
How are your pots and pans these days?
Is too much sticking to them?
Maybe it's time for a new set...
